Accountant

Essential Job Duties:

• Provide general accounting support and financial close responsibility for business segments including preparation of Financial Statements.
• Analyze and prepare Working Capital models, account analysis and forecasts for various areas within the Chemical business.
• Develop annual fringe rates for all locations within the Chemical business and prepare detailed monthly analysis each month for changes in the fringe liability accounts, including Retiree Medical and Pension plans.
• Prepare and analyze bonus accruals and payments.
• Support business and manufacturing locations with analysis, as required.
• Provide support for external audits, government and tax reporting.
• Evaluating processes, risk and internal controls, relative to position, for Sarbanes-Oxley.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance (with 21 hours of Accounting)
• Minimum of 3 years of professional accounting experience
• Demonstrated excellent proficiency with MS Excel
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills

Additional Desired Qualifications:

• MBA or CPA
• Working knowledge in Hyperion reporting
• Proficiency in SAP
• Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
