Functional Area: Legal
Responsibilities
· Provide legal support to the Managed Markets group
· Draft and negotiate rebate and GPO contracts
· Draft and negotiate agreements with Public Health Service (340B and DSH) entities
· Provide advice and counseling regarding federal and state fraud and abuse antikickback laws, antitrust laws, privacy laws
· Review managed markets promotional materials to ensure compliance with applicable laws/rules/regulations
· Review and provide advice in respect of new contract strategies
· Draft and negotiate service contracts with managed markets customers
Minimum Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree
· J.D. from an accredited law school
· Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred Requirements
· Eight (8) to Fourteen (14) years' experience in commercial law
· Experience in drafting and negotiating managed care commercial and Part D rebate and group purchasing organization contracts
· Familiarity with FDA and/or CMS regulatory law a plus
· Familiarity with government pricing issues (AMP, best price, 340B, nominal pricing) a plus
· Experience with the pharmaceutical industry, either through a major law firm or pharmaceutical manufacturer preferred
