Responsibilities
Description:
To provide advanced technical expertise to client partners, business
customers, and project managers, to identify and define work
activities/projects based on business direction and needs and to provide
business application support to assigned process area applications.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
· Determine the actual business need and corresponding specification of
requirements for projects and release components
· Development and verification of functional requirements and
translation into technical work activities
· Lead the development of business cases and business design
· Assist project managers in delivery of process area projects and
releases including project management if needed
· Identifies scope and resource estimations for work assignments in
support of project manager and client partner
· Coordinates and conducts system testing on applications
· Coordinates user involvement in acceptance testing on applications
· Works closely with the business to ensure business needs are being met
· Responsible for configuration of supported systems
· Creates, or participates in creation of, training materials and help
documentation
· Provides functional business application support (Level 2/3-type
support)
· Acts as functional subject matter expert in identified applications
· Demonstrates ability to research and evaluate alternative solutions
and recommend the most efficient and cost effective solution.
· Collaborates with clients and provides technical leadership to analyze
business processes and develop new or improved process designs
· Effectively work with clients to identify and specify complex business
requirements and procedures. Can gather and relate business requirements
across a series of projects or a program.
Key Interfaces:
· With Client Partner and Skill Center resources for the design,
development and delivery of technology components that satisfy business
needs.
· With client/business area personnel to ensure that business cases have
appropriate business sponsorship
· With client/business area personnel to handle and resolve issues with
production applications supported by the business consultant

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required
· 5+ years of experience in IS working closely with customers
· Strong understanding of System Development Life Cycle
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
· Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities
Preferred Background
· 7+ years of IS experience
· Proven releases/projects delivered on target (budget, time, quality).
· Financial and/or Managed Markets business knowledge
