In this role, you’ll be more than just an ASIC Verification Engineer. You’ll have the unique opportunity to develop highly complex, flexible, and reusable functional verification environments for leading edge Digital Light Processing Products.
Specific responsibilities include:
• Providing a leadership role in developing expandable, reusable, hierarchal test bench architectures and simulation support tools utilizing VHDL, Specman e-code, and Perl
• Developing standard Specman eVc based methodology
• Mentoring the ASIC team on Specman e-code best practices
• Applying dynamic stimulus generation, correctness checking, and functional coverage to a wide variety of digital video and graphic image processing, data format converters, and complex sequence controllers
• Reading and analyzing functional requirement specifications
• Organizing and writing functional verification plans
• Verifying embedded third-party intellectual property
In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering simulation environments, verification plans, functional coverage reports, and auxiliary productivity enhancing script-based tools. You’ll also have the chance to develop and implement verification methodology improvement plans.
The ideal candidate will have minimum of 2 years work experience focused in the following areas:
• Writing hardware description languages - preferably VHDL
• Running digital design simulators, preferably Synopsys or Mentor Graphics simulation tools
• Writing Specman e-code
Experience with scripting languages - preferably PERL – is needed. Good problem solving skills are a must. The ability to take initiative to understand issues and propose solutions is essential.
