Chief Financial Officer –
Institutional Asset Management
One of the nation’s
largest financial holding companies. Our Customer

extensive banking network in Ohio, Michigan,
Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, and Missouri
and also serves customers in selected markets
nationally. Our core businesses include commercial and
retail banking, consumer finance, asset management, and
mortgage financing and servicing.
The CFO of Institutional Asset Management (IAM) will
lead the Senior Management team in all aspects of
financial planning and strategic analysis. The business
consists of the Investment Management Company,
Retirement Plan Services, Taft-Hartley Services, Stock
Transfer Services, Custody and Escrow Services, and Bond
Administration. Sales occur across several sales
channels. The CFO of IAM will manage a team.
Primary responsibilities of the role require leadership
on three fronts:
· Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial
reporting, forecasting, and budgeting,
· Shaping and leading high-impact analyses to drive
management decisions, and
· Proactively identifying value-adding financial
opportunities and providing thought leadership on
strategic issues.
The CFO will frequently lead senior management
discussions, and is expected to earn that “seat at the
table” as a business partner who brings insightful
analysis and consistently raises the bar for
performance. Areas of special strategic focus will
include:
· Product profitability
· Marketing spend effectiveness
· Business line strategy, including acquisitions,
channel strategy, etc.
· Capital and/or technology investments
· Growth strategy and long-term profitability outlook
This position is a direct report to the Corporate
Controller, and will have a strong dotted line
relationship to the Executive Vice President of
Institutional Asset Management.
Qualifications - The ideal candidate will have 10+ years
of financial analysis and business leadership experience
within the banking industry. Experience within
institutional asset management is highly preferred. The
CFO must have the ability to develop and oversee complex
financial modeling and analysis, including spreadsheet
tools. A Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or other
advanced degree highly preferred.
In addition, the successful candidate must possess
strong interpersonal relationship skills, be a strong
problem solver and critical thinker, and have the
ability to effectively influence business decisions with
senior management. Thought leadership must include
strategic thinking and innovation. The CFO will have
strong leadership skills, be an outstanding team player,
have a competitive spirit, and have a clear track record
for achievement.
