Designs, implements and directs the Risk
Management Process and is responsible for consulting with Senior
Management on the coordination of internal control and risk
management activities for the Global Trust Services (GTS)
Department and related subsidiaries; consults with GTS Senior
Management regarding the development and implementation of risk
management practices within the business units and subsidiaries
by identifying, implementing and assessing the effectiveness of
operating controls.
Incumbent is responsible for developing a detailed understanding
of the US Securities Services and Asset Servicing Operations
lines of business including their processes, risks and controls.
Using this knowledge of the business, the incumbent will help
identify material existing and emerging risks and will work to
ensure appropriate resolution. S/He participates in assessments
of new client take-ons, new products, significant business
process changes, and performs other targeted risk related
projects to analyze risks, identify solutions, and ensure
implementation of control enhancements. S/He works with Line of
Business (LOB) Sector Risk Management and Business Control
regarding the development and implementation of risk management
practices within the operations and business units. The
incumbent will engage business management to challenge existing
operating models, where appropriate, and assist with
establishing a strong risk culture.
At least 15 years of relevant product/financial services and/or
auditing, risk management and compliance management experience,
with a thorough knowledge of banking and fiduciary regulations
(both domestic and international), operations and control
systems. Superior problem solving, analytical abilities, oral
and written communication skills. Ability to handle stressful
situations with internal and external clients and regulators
while maintaining a professional approach to problem solving.
Outstanding interpersonal skills in order to influence and
impact business decisions over which the incumbent has no direct
authority. Ability to manage multiple staff groups and numerous
projects simultaneously. B.S./B.A. or equivalent work
experience. MBA or related professional certifications (CPA,
CIA, CTA, etc.) required.
