This position will report to the Manager, Controls and Compliance and will involve daily contact / exposure with management at the local entity, Area and WHQ levels. In support of this departmental objective outlined above this position's responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1) collecting, analyzing, following up and reporting on controls and compliance issues
2) analyzing financial and operational data for risks and performing follow-up for the following processes:
a. Cash Flow versus Net Income Analysis
b. ACA Summary Reviews
c. Country Stat-to-GAAP Reconciliations
3) Tracking/monitoring the worldwide disclosure control processes including ACA control evaluations, analyzing results, ensuring effectiveness and reporting results
4) developing instructions and guidance for field locations and assisting them in interpreting them
5) maintaining and improving processes, systems, policies, training tools, guides, checklists, including content of Otis Controls and Compliance Portal
6) preparing reports and presentation for senior management within Otis and UTC
7) assisting/advising local entities and areas on controls and compliance matters, and
8) testing of WHQ control activities.

• Recent experience within public accounting, internal audit or a controllership function that had a strong concentration in internal control and Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience

• Demonstrated ability to effectively work within a multi-location/multi-national environment

• Effective organization and communication skills

• BS Accounting or Finance

Overtime is sometimes necessary to work with contacts in Asia and to meet deliverable deadlines, particularly before and during quarterly and annual closing periods. Travel is unlikely but opportunities may arise.
