Zone Sales leaders (several openings throughout the US:  MO, PA, FL, NY, GA, and others)

Position Overview

The new hire will go through a 12-18 month training program as a designate. Once training is completed then the new hire will go into the zone role. The purpose of the training program is to learn the FL sales organization from the ground up (establishes credibility, etc.).  The Training Program consists of the following:   Meet the Region Business Team (Region VP of Sales, Region.  Finance Director, Director of Sales)  Learning the Route Types (consists of route rides with Route Sales Reps - takes approximately 3-4 months)  Meet the Zone Business Team (Zone Operations Manager, Area Operations Manager, Zone Business Manager, Plant Tour) Understand the District Sales Leader (DSL) position (work with the > DSL - people focused position, run a district for 2-3 months) Selling Knowledge (work with Key Account Manager, National Account Manager, Director of Sales, Region Category Manager) Headquarters Orientation (DSL Academy, Sales Accounting, Payroll, Marketing, HR, etc.

Must be flexible with the ability to relocate nationally after training. 

Salary range:  Competitive, depending on experience level. Bonus target is 20%.  Position is company car eligible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales and expense accountability for approximately $75 - $120M in sales volume.
  • Lead and oversee day-to-day sales, sales operations, logistics, inventory, scheduling, training, and performance management/people development for 80-120 personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years solid sales experience
  • 8+ years of CPG or Food & Beverage Industry Sales Experience
  • 5+ years management experience, preferably with large groups or teams (50-100ppl)
  • Sales and Expense Accountability  - Minimum of $30M
  • Must be open to relocation
  • Strong Leadership Experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Relocation may be required

 Preferred Background/Behaviors:

  • DSD and CPG Experience
  • Strong Communications skills to present, negotiate with and sell to corporate representatives, customers and subordinates.
  • Integrity/Ethics
  • Able to function effectively under pressure
  • Able to deal with difficult employees, especially in a change management environment
  • Able to leverage resources
