STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Our client is headquartered in Plano, TX. and is one of five(5) subsidiaries of an international concern based in Bahrain. The organization has a global presence and is leading downstream aluminum manufacturing company with specialization in producing high-quality flat rolled aluminum products in various sizes and alloys, including sheets and coils,

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

Be accountable and responsible in support of the Accounting Manager in completing fiscal operations, business administration, ad hoc reporting, closing and other financial analysis. The candidate must coordinate and prioritize opportunities necessary to maximize value and profitability, while strengthening United States Operations.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:  Staff Accountant

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Create/promote a safety environment

·        Provide appropriate, consistent, and timely communication with internal/external stakeholders to achieve profitable results and growth of the US Operations.· Assist with all aspects of the month-end close including booking journal entries, accruals, reversing entries, and reconciliations. Assist with payroll administration duties, including payroll journal entry. Handle vast array of financial reporting and accounting functions. Assist in reconciliation of bank accounts, analysis of periodic financials, and preparation of budgets. Reconcile T&E, Petty Cash, and Prepaid accounts.

·        Prepare and distribute daily cash position to management.

·        Update budget schedules and prepare entries based on direction from the Accounting Manager.

·        Process all payments and apply them against invoices.

·        Inventory accounting, COGS, and perform inventory counts when needed

·        Assist with the reporting on sales tax, property tax, and compliance filings

  • Special projects, ad hoc reporting, and more

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS EXPERIENCE:

·         2+ years of accounting experience, a Bachelors degree in accounting, and prior public accounting or industry experience

·         The ability to analyze figures and basic mathematical ability

·         Must have superior organizational skills

·         The ability to multi-task

·         Ability to prioritize tasks [urgent from important]

·         Strong computer skills; Work with complex Excel spreadsheets and formulas

·        Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluations of alternatives

·         Ability to present information clearly and persuasively, share knowledge with others

·         Demonstrate positive, professional behavior towards all team members

·         Must enjoy working in a high-paced atmosphere and manage deadlines
