Job Description
This role will be a combination of solution architecture, capability building, mentoring, pre-sales, operations, and delivery management.
Responsibilities: Include but not limited to
· Define best practices and thought leadership around data science.
· Apply knowledge and expertise in quantitative analysis, predictive modeling and data mining. Analyze experimental data with statistical rigor.
· Partner closely with delivery teams to design, run, and analyze A/B and multivariate hypothesis tests.
· Ensure accurate interpretation by combining business acumen with detailed data knowledge and statistical expertise.
· Evolve and personalize content discovery by applying statistical modeling, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
· Responsible for regular delivery reviews and oversight of engagements that have Data Science elements as critical components.
· Build high performance team, nurture and promote professional development of resources in the CoP both in terms of the subject knowledge as well as career choices.
· Contribute to (and at times lead) the pursuit process for business in new accounts as well as existing accounts. This will include preparation of proposals, presales presentations, etc.
· Continuously evaluate the market opportunities in the realm of Data Science and enhance the service offerings to address the market needs.
· Responsible for providing thought leadership emanating in the form of discussion papers and white papers to create best in class practices and tools for all client engagements.
· Channelizing the Data Science COE in developing PoCs, tools, solutions, methodology, accelerators, and templates.
Skills and Experience:
· A deep understanding of data, as well as a strong business sense.
· You have at least 6+ years of experience in a similar data scientist role and a degree in science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.
· 3+ years in a Machine Learning/Advanced Analytics environment
· Learning/Advanced Analytics techniques such as regression, classification, clustering
· You have the technical competence to perform more advanced analytics:
· Coding skills (such as Python, Java, or Scala)
· Analytics tools experience (such as Pandas, R, SPSS, SQL, or Hadoop)
· Experience performing analysis with large datasets
· Demonstrated capacity for developing and understanding strategy
· You are capable of tackling very loosely defined problems.
· You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
· Should have working knowledge of CMMI processes
· Should have played the role of a SME / Architect.
· Highly articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Ability to work with multi-cultural teams.
· Ideally, should have worked in an IT services company of similar or larger size, with a global delivery model.
