Manager, International Tax

Our premier client has an opening for an International Tax Senior Manager. The International Tax Manager will join the Organization’s Global Tax Accounting Center of Excellence and work on all aspects of international tax planning & reporting. Reporting to the Director, primary responsibilities are to lead the international tax processes for tax provision and reporting.  This will require close interaction & alignment with the organization’s global transfer pricing and tax accounting teams.  The ideal candidate must be comfortable with partnering & leading cross-functional teams within business operations & corporate functions.

Responsibilities:

International Tax

  • Lead US international tax compliance for US tax reporting, including oversight of the process and review of international Forms such as 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118, 8991, 8992, 8993, and reporting statements as required.

  • Oversee and perform a technical review of quarterly schedules for international aspects of the tax provision including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, 163(j), and FTC utilization and other tax attributes impacted by tax planning transactions.

  • Lead monitoring of OECD’s Pillar I and Pillar II and their impacts on U.S. international tax

  • Lead oversight of hold co structure, APB 23, foreign repatriation planning

  • Lead monitoring of The Organization’s US international tax positions

  • Tax modeling concerning U.S. international tax matters (GILTI, FDII, FTC, BEAT, 163(j), etc.)

  • Remain current on US international tax legislation, lead assessment of the impacts to

  • Tax process optimization, including development and implementation of process changes and/or enhancement of existing processes to improve the tax function

  • Participate in research and preparation of memorandums of various international tax issues to support U.S. tax filing positions.

  • Participate in the development of and management of step plans relating to various special projects and international tax transactions.

  • Assist with work with various outside tax advisers and law firms on special projects and international tax transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, or liquidations.

  • Lead in tracking U.S. tax attributes to assist in U.S. tax reporting and international tax planning including earnings and profit pools, tax pools, the tax basis in corporate and partnership structures, and foreign tax credits.

  • Lead international audits for IRS exams and provide audit support for foreign tax audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting with CPA or MST.

  • 6-10 years of international and federal tax experience in the Big 4 or comparable tax experience in a large multinational corporation. Strong knowledge of US international tax rules, including GILTI, FDII, BEAT, Subpart F, and FTCs.

  • Strong research, analytical, and documentation skills.

  • Strong Excel skills as well as proficiency with Word and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to apply and adapt gained experiences/knowledge to new situations

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization and outside advisors.
