Senior Manager, Global Law Enforcement Operations & Liaison

The Senior Manager Global Law Enforcement Operations & Liaison will lead a global team of law enforcement response associates responsible for liaising with law enforcement entities on significant investigations, processing law enforcement data disclosure requests, and building trusted relationships with global law enforcement entities. The Senior Manager Global Law Enforcement Operations & Liaison will be a senior role within the team and report directly to the Director, Global Safety & Security.

A Typical Day

  • Establish and lead the development and adaptation of global law enforcement operations initiatives, strategic roadmap, goal setting and prioritization for the regional LE Operations teams based in EMEA, APAC and AMER.

  • Develop and adapt operational initiatives and priorities that improve the effectiveness of policies, playbooks, processes and tooling to respond to requests from law enforcement officials and government agencies, driving strategic safety efforts at scale.

  • Lead a global LE operations team responsible for analyzing and addressing time-sensitive legal processes and inquiries regarding user data, which includes but is not limited to preservation requests, subpoenas, court orders, and search warrants. Ensures that inbound/outbound law enforcement cases, civil/criminal subpoenas, and other governmental or legal investigations are evaluated and handled in strict accordance with policies, internal guidelines, and applicable laws

  • Develop, manage and lead regional teams around the world to develop and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement and government authorities globally by building coalitions and partnerships through liaison with International Policing Organizations (e.g., Interpol, Europol, FBI, HSI, etc.)

  • Work closely with the legal and public policy teams on engagement with law enforcement authorities, regulators and legislators on online safety, security and law enforcement issues.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and global safety organizations to develop and enhance safety awareness and other safety related issues in the world.

  • Responsible for planning, staffing, budgeting, and managing expense priorities for Law Enforcement Operation

  • Develop Return on Security Investment metrics and reporting to manage progress against goals and to evaluate the effectiveness of the law enforcement operations program, using data to drive improvement plans and track progress against the strategy/goals.

  • Develop new concepts, methods and techniques to identify cross-functional initiatives that can improve Trust Defenses.

  • Identify market segments and external partnership opportunities where applicable for Trust and Safety or Law Enforcement teams to help enable safe and positive core business growth.

  • Coordinate and participate in on-call emergency escalations relating to high priority requests, including after-hours and weekends

Minimum Qualifications

  • 12+ years of global law enforcement response team (LERT) specific subject matter expertise or experience as a senior leader in law enforcement.

  • Progressively responsible leadership experience in a large, globally dispersed trust and safety or law enforcement operational team.

  • Expansive experience establishing strategic initiatives for Trust & Safety and/or Law Enforcement Operations that impact safety initiatives, data disclosures and global law enforcement partnerships.

  • Subject matter expertise in global data privacy laws affecting disclosures to law enforcement

  • A proven track record of managing performance across a matrixed organization that covers a wide range of geographies, languages, time zones, etc.

  • Experience proactively solving critical problems of strategic and operational importance that impact safety on the platform, current and future products, technologies and trust defense

  • Experience navigating complex / matrixed business organizations and influencing across cross-functional teams

  • Experience working on policies that have a global impact by utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to support recommendations

  • A proven track record of working collaboratively with subject matter experts on cross-functional teams, balancing disparate priorities, and rapid problem solving in high-stress situations.

  • An executive presence with outstanding communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to create executive communications and presentations.

  • Experienced manager effective at building trust through relationships and empowering a high-performing team.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an office or attendance at off sites, as agreed to with your manager. While the position is Remote Eligible, you must live in a state where registered entity.
