We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer/Application Engineer with a passion for the battery industry and specific expertise in Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) batteries and inverter applications. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an engineering construction and procurement company as an engineer working on utility-scale battery energy storage systems (UBESS) or in UBESS applications engineering. This experience should be combined with extensive knowledge of batteries and balance-of-plant components. In addition to technical expertise, the candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to provide amazing customer experience.
Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise:
Serve as the subject-matter expert for UBESS projects.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the engineering process, best practices, project management phases, integration, and systems used in utility-scale energy storage projects.
Inverter Applications:
Understand and explain the interaction between battery systems and inverters, helping customers optimize their energy storage solutions for various applications.
Customer Engagement:
Establish strong and positive relationships with customers by actively listening to their needs and providing tailored solutions.
Respond to inquiries promptly and offer technical guidance throughout the sales process.
Product Presentations:
Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to showcase the benefits and capabilities of UBESS and related technologies.
Solution Design:
Collaborate with customers to design customized energy storage solutions that meet their specific requirements and budget.
Sales Support:
Assist the sales team in preparing proposals, technical documents, and quotations for potential customers.
Participate in sales meetings to address technical questions and concerns.
Market Analysis:
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, competitors' offerings, and emerging technologies related to energy storage and inverter applications.
Training and Education:
Conduct training sessions for both internal teams and customers to enhance their understanding of UBESS.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in EPC or integration or technical UBESS sales.
Technical Knowledge:
In-depth technical knowledge of battery chemistry and characteristics.
Familiarity with battery management systems (BMS) and their role in UBESS.
Inverter Applications:
Strong understanding of inverter applications and their integration with energy storage systems.
Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Customer-Centric Approach:
Exceptional customer-centric approach with a track record of providing outstanding customer experiences.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to address customer challenges effectively.
Teamwork:
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Travel:
Willingness to travel up to 40% of the time, including travel to China with clients, to meet with clients, attend conferences, and conduct training sessions.
