Responsibilities
The Investor Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the overall Investor Reporting/Accounting functions for individual investor groups. Under general supervision, will work on moderate to complex accounting projects, preparing, reconciling and reviewing various financial papers, schedules, and reports related to the servicing of loans. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.

What You'll Do

·         Operate as a point of contact and Investor Accounting liaison for assigned group; responsible for all contact and resolution of inquiries for the team.

·         Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; monitoring performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

·         Prepare complex (high touch) monthly reconciliations, ensuring the accuracy of the information and that the reconciliations are completed within the required deadline

·         Provide general support for special projects, providing information and resolving issues.

·         Continually review and recommend policy and procedure changes to improve processes.

·         Review monthly reconciliation, troubleshooting and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of the data

·         Review Pooling and Servicing Agreements for all new deals and reconcile new account based on the information in the agreement

·         Execute new processes and documentation to ensure processes can smoothly transition to analysts.

·         Main point of contact for analysts working on reconciliations.

·         Work with analysts to determine more efficient and simplified methods of reconciling.

·         Compile reports as needed for activities affecting custodial accounts to be used by Investor Accounting Analysts.

·         Provide functional guidance and training to other staff members.

·         May be asked to sit in on interviews and provide feedback for performance review of staff.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you'll need:

·         High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

·         Five (5) to eight (8) years of related experience, including investor accounting and reporting.

·         One (1) or more years of supervisory experience is a plus.
