Director - Strategy, Digital and Growth Initiatives, Asia Pacific

The role has the following priorities:

Drive the APAC Blue Sky initiative that was launched with three key pillars:

  • Digital Transformation - Ambitious steps to implement digital go to market solutions to engage closer with the grower, support the entire ag value chain including deploying precision ag technology, financial services, advisory, and e-commerce. This role will work with sub-regional P&L leaders and drive this digital vision.

  • Performance Transformation - As part of the APAC Blue Sky Initiative, this role will support the sub-regions to drive efficiency and productivity across businesses.

  • Sustainability - This role will also oversee the APAC sustainability approach and work with global CSO and their teams in driving the region’s activities. Some key initiatives are women’s empowerment in rural communities, APAC smallholder farmer strategy and etc.

  • Function as a digital go-to-market thought leader in the region and influence sub-regional leaders to build digital capabilities

  • Provide leadership and facilitate the work of cross-functional team by understanding requirements and defining strategy to accomplish these objectives

  • Create roadmap and governance for the APAC Blue Sky Initiative collaboration

  • Supports the business objectives of strategic growth, enhanced farmer/customer experience & improved productivity and efficiency

  • Oversee a team of senior professionals responsible for different business transformation workstreams

  • Manage and communicate with key stakeholders including members of the APAC Operating Committee, Global Operating Committee and the CEO/CFO of the Corporation

This role directly manages a team of three senior regional leaders and indirectly a team of 10-15 senior business professionals. Over time, it is expected that the incumbent builds an effective team that is directly responsible for establishing and growing the digital capabilities in one of the most dynamic agricultural markets in the world. The direct reports to this role include:

  • Regional leader for Digital Transformation

  • Regional Performance Management PMO

  • APAC Business Sustainability leader

What You Will Bring To Us

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field; MBA is preferred

  • 15+ years of overall business experience across corporate strategy, business development, commercial, sales & marketing

  • High degree of tactical and business acumen coupled with strategy and analytical skills necessary for execution

  • Proactive and results-oriented with a willingness to initiate and drive required activities across the enterprise

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and lead and manage effective teams

  • Ability to work effectively cross functionally for strategy development and business execution

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • High energy, enthusiasm, and ability to operate in a multi-cultural international organization

  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships across the enterprise

  • Collaborative work style, open to both owning and sharing accountability for outcomes

  • Possess executive presence, command, and composure to best deliver in a high-performance environment
