Director of Infrastructure

As the Director of Infrastructure, you will shape the future of the infrastructure the new hire lead in the implementation of your ideas. Your focus will be on the client-facing infrastructure and how to provide better service to clients while maximizing the company’s return on investment. You will create and manage timelines and assist in the day-to- day implementation where strategically required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure team in developing and implementing IT solutions Cooperate with other departments to create solutions that reinforce the needs of the business
  • Plan, schedule, communicate and defend future infrastructure initiatives
  • Stay up-to- date on emerging technologies
  • Mentor staff to increase knowledge of technologies that meet the needs of the business
  • Promote best practices across all areas of the business and enforce best practices on the infrastructure
  • Work with other technical and business leaders to foster a world class engineering culture that embodies the organization’s core values

Required Skills

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Computer Science or Engineering or similar technical field or equivalent experience is required
  • 12+ years experience in IT Management, Tech Lead, System Administration or similar discipline
  • Ability to effectively and persuasively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, especially executives and board of directors
  • High-energy, enthusiastic and innovative thought leader who can gain alignment between business and technical teams
  • Stellar references from executive and technical leadership
  • Proven record with capacity planning and managing budget processes
  • Previous experience at a Software Company strongly preferred
  • Mandatory Technical Skills Required for Successful Candidacy:
  • 3 + years Linux administration using RedHat or variant
  • 3 + years Windows Server administration experience
  • 3 + years’ Experience with Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere and  JBoss
  • Experience in a clustered environment (application server and database)
  • Experience with cloud based solutions
  • Strong experience understanding and implementing PCI-DSS
  • Understanding of server hardware, lifecycle and best practices
  • Understanding of network hardware including firewalls, switches, and routers
  • Permanent Residency Required. U.S. citizenship may be required for security clearance
