Human Resources Manager

Human Resources Manager will report to the Director of Corporate Services and perform day-to- day HR/benefit operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruiting and Employee Retention
  • Improve recruiting process, focusing on testing, interviewing and counseling hiring managers on interview conduct and candidate selection
  • Ensure new hire requisitions and offer letters are properly completed and approved
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and on-boarding, including communication of company and benefits plan policies, features, enrollment, and other requirements
  • Manage existing and develop new programs/training to improve employee satisfaction, retention and ensure continued employee professional development
  • Manage relationships with Employment Search Firms, ensuring candidates match internal requirements
  • Conduct and analyze exit interviews, providing suggestions on improvements
  • Work with employee engagement committee, mentoring members and providing oversight

Benefits Administration

  • Manage employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and PTO plans)
  • Take the lead during open enrollment, providing information and answering questions
  • Research and respond to internal and external benefit inquiries throughout the year
  • Coordinate with carrier representatives to resolve complex benefit issues including, but not limited to, eligibility discrepancies and benefit plan interpretations
  • Work with carrier representatives yearly to ensure we get the best possible plans for our employees
  • Work with Accounting to reconcile enrollment reports and billings to employees to ensure accurate eligibility and payment information, and compliance with contract provisions
  • Ensure employee information is kept up-to- date and accurate on all benefit policies

Employee Relations/Coaching

  • Ensure job descriptions and job requirements are kept up-to- date for all positions
  • Enable the proper planning, monitoring and appraisal of employees by training managers how to coach and discipline their staff
  • Manage and resolve employee grievances, ensuring everything is documented and properly resolved. Oversee the employee annual review process, ensuring reviews are conducted timely and that the employee’s goals are definable and traceable to promote employee growth

Legal/Reporting Requirements

  • Gather information, file reports and track progress to comply with all required local, state, and Federal programs (e.g. COBRA, HIPPA, ACA and ERISA) and all other necessary reporting
  • HR Management
  • Process and maintain all HR information (e.g. provider contracts, benefit claim files, employee records, new hire paperwork, etc.) for the purpose of providing an up-to- date reference and audit trail
  • Prepare, update and recommend human resource policies and procedures, including updates/distribution of employee handbook and all other relevant policies
  • Research and recommend a new HRIS system

Required Qualifications

  • Business Degree Required, PHR Certification Required
  • Software industry experiences required
  • Other Information Technology or related industry experiences may be considered.
  • 5+ years HR management experience, including recruiting, benefits administration, performance management and legal requirements. 2+ years managing support staff
  • Excellent organizational and software skills with attention to detail. Excellent negotiation and problem solving skills

Outstanding communication skills both oral and written. High level of integrity, discretion and proven experience successfully managing confidential information. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience working for a software company highly preferred.
